Dear Green Dot Family,

Have you been asked to explain what you do? Or why you do it? Have you been asked why you work with Green Dot Public Schools? Has anyone asked you where the name “Green Dot” came from? How many times have you explained that charter schools are public schools? Each time you’re asked about our work you have an opportunity to further our mission.

It is my sincere hope that you embrace this call to action: Speak confidently about the importance of providing all students access to great teachers in great schools. Win support for our cause. Preparing our students for college, leadership and life is inspiring work.
Moreover, helping to transform public education for the benefit of all students in our nation transcends our work and promotes a bold and virtuous mission.

With each of many daily interactions, we have the chance to inform others about our mission, vision, values, and practices, ultimately building a multitude of supporters.

To support our work and realize our goals, we have to communicate effectively and consistently. With each of many daily interactions, we have the chance to inform others about our mission, vision, values, and practices, ultimately building a multitude of supporters. Everyone wants to be part of creating a bright future and more people than you may realize will become interested in what we do. As we share, we can excite others, and give them the opportunity – the privilege – to help.

Only through the power of an informed and tireless collective voice, will we change a system that privileges some children over others.

This site is meant to guide us in the achievement of a unified message – one that is spoken authentically in the voices of thousands of individuals so it will resound throughout the nation, advancing us toward the day when the opportunity gap is behind us.

The strength of Green Dot Public Schools is and has always been in the excellence of its team members – you. Thank you.

Our story is in your hands.
